Dit wandkleed hing in de Kathedraal, helaas zonder titel of naam van de maker/maakster. Je snapt wel dat bij zoiets mijn handwerkhartje iets sneller gaat slaan....
This tapestry hung in the Cathedral, unfortunately with no title or the name of the person who made it. You can imagine that, with something like this, my "handcraftheart" beats a little faster..... 
Op zondagochtend hebben we nog een paar uurtjes doorgebracht in het Design Museum, daar was een tijdelijke tentoonstelling "Verbindingen. Een eigenzinnige keuze van 100 textielobjecten uit eigen collectie" . De tentoonstelling was heel anders dan ik verwacht had, maar toch heel interessant. Onderstaande foto laat een ontwerp zien uit het einde van de 19de eeuw, en als je heel veel geduld hebt, kun je het zo naborduren...... trouwens, niet alleen geduld ook heel veel tijd!
Sundaymorning we spent a couple of hours in the Design Museum, they had a temporary exhibition called "Connections. A cheeky selection of 100 textile objects from the proprietary collection". I expected something complete different from what it was, but in spite of that it was very interesting. The picture below shows a design from about 1875 and if you have a lot of patience it's possible to cross-stitch this design.......by the way, not only patience but also a lot of time!
De laatste foto's zijn ècht heel leuk....DH is voor zijn werk naar Dubai geweest en aangezien hij dit keer wat meer vrije tijd had is ie een paar uurtjes op stap geweest. Onderweg kwam hij dit stoffenwinkeltje tegen met mijn voornaam op de gevel.....
The last pictures are very cute....DH went to Dubai for work and since he had some more freetime he spent a couple of hours in town. In town he discovered this fabricstore with my name in the front....
