I'm working hard on my challenge for the textile internetgroup "de Uitdaging". The theme is "childhood memory" and when I heard that theme a lot of memories crossed my mind. Cups of hot milk and peanut butter sandwiches for breakfast, the quarrel with my schoolfriend Marlies (Dekkers, yes the one from the lingerie) about the same bikes we got as birthdaypresents, or the sore fingers I got from peeling puffed and salted beechnuts. Well, something completely different I'm working on now and I'm not going to tell you what it is except that it is something you won't expect from a little girl :). To pump up your curiosity you can see a little sneekpreview above....
I recently subscribed for a workshop from Cas Holmes , she's an artist who uses different materials in her work, old and new, found objects on the street and she changes existing fabric with several tecniques in compleet different fabrics. Besides it is good for my english because the workshop is given in that language :) On the picture you can see work from Cas Holmes (I borrowed the picture from her website)
