ATC's uit Engeland en Frankrijk

Kijk eens wat een prachtige ATC's ik heb ontvangen van Julie uit Engeland:

Deze mooie "stoffen" ATC kreeg ik van Anne uit Frankrijk, meestal maakt ze geborduurde ATC's maar dit keer wilde ze eens wat ander proberen. Hartstikke leuk Anne!

This beautiful "fabric" ATC I received from Anne from France, usually she makes "cross-stitch" ATC's but this time she wanted to try something else. Very nice Anne!

Vroeger.....

.....12 en 13 jaar geleden heb ik ook geborduurd. Tijdens mijn zwangerschapsverlof heerlijk zitten prikken aan alle lieve figuurtjes en in mijn kraambed de naam en datum geborduurd zodat het snel aan de muur zou hangen. De geboortetegel van de oudste is inmiddels van haar slaapkamer verhuisd naar de zolder(vind je toch niet erg mam...). Bij de jongste mag ie voorlopig nog even blijven hangen. Tja, kleine meisjes worden groot.....

I also stitched 12 and 13 years ago. During my pregnancyleave I stitched all those lovely figures and in my childbed I stitched the name and the date of birth so it would hang on the wall as quick as possible. The panel of my eldest has moved from her bedroom to the attic in the mean time (you don't mind mom, do you...) In the bedroom of the youngest it's still on the wall.

Well, little girls grow up.....

De laatste foto van onze merels, inmiddels zijn ze uitgevlogen, het nestje is leeg. Helaas heeft èèn mereltje het niet overleefd en lag dood in de tuin. Zoals het er naar uitzag gegrepen door een kat of een andere grote vogel.

The last picture of our blackbirds, they flew out, the nest is empty. Unfortunately one of the blackbirds didn't survive, we found it dead in the garden. Probably catched by a cat or another big bird.

Een verjaardagkaartje met als thema Inca's of Azteken en dat was niet gemakkelijk. Geen enkel patroontje kunnen vinden en uiteindelijk zelf maar aan de slag gegaan. Uit de bieb een boek gehaald en een patroontje dat in een kleed ingeweven was omgezet in een borduurpatroontje.

A birthday-card with the theme Inca's or Azteken, which was not that easy. I could't find any pattern so at the end I decided to do it myself. I borrowed a book from the library and transposed a pattern from a carpet into a crossstitch pattern.

Nieuwe ATC's

Soms vind ik het heel moeilijk om een begin te maken met de ATC's. Dit keer heb ik mezelf dan ook maar een thema opgelegd: Groen, al doende komt er dan vaak wat tevoorschijn.
De serie heet Golden Lines, die helaas op de foto niet zo duidelijk zijn. Heb je zin om èèn van deze ATC's te ruilen, stuur me dan gerust een mailtje ( kijk voor mijn e-mailadres bij volledig profiel).


Sometimes I find it very difficult to start with new ATC's. This time I decided to set myself a theme: Green, while working there's almost something coming out. The series are called Golden Lines, unfortunately not so clear to be seen on the picture. Ik kan het ook niet nalaten nog een mooie foto van de merels te plaatsen, ze passen bijna niet meer in het nest met z'n viertjes...

Mereltjes, vervolg

De mereltjes groeien als kool, Pa en Ma Merel zijn dan ook druk doende met de aanvoer van lekkere hapjes. De jonkies zijn nog steeds een beetje kaal en errug lelijk...

The blackbirds grow like scarlet beans. Mum and Dad Blackbird are very busy to supply titbits. The young ones are still a bit bold and actually very ugly.....

Gisteren was het moederdag en ben ik door mijn dochters in de watten gelegd met een heerlijk ontbijtje en kadootjes. Mijn dochters (bijna 12 en 13) hebben de leeftijd (helaas) niet meer om mij te verwennen met knutsels en ontroerende gedichtjes. Tegenwoordig wordt ik verwend met bloemen, chocolade, waxinelichthoudertjes en geurige douchespullen en smeerseltjes, Heerlijk!!

Yesterday it was Mother´s Day and I´ve been spoiled with a delicious breakfast and presents. My daughters (almost 12 and 13) don't have (unfortunatelly) the age anymore to spoil me with handycraft and moving poems. These days they spoil me with flowers, chocolate, candles, odorous showergel and all kinds of other ointments. Very nice!!

Lente...

Het is lente, alhoewel de temperaturen meer iets weg hebben van de zomer...

Voor een mini Round Robin heb ik mijn eigen bijdrage met als thema lente af, vanaf 1 juni gaan nog 5 andere mensen er iets bij borduren en dan komt ie weer bij mij terug. Ik heb inmiddels ook een mini Round Robin met als thema herfst onderweg . De bedoeling is dat met de wisseling van de seizoenen ook mijn Round Robins aan de muur gaan wisselen. De zomer en de winter laten nog even op zich wachten, maar zodra de kans zich voordoet gaan die ook op "reis".

It's spring here in Holland, although the temperature is more like summer....

I finished my own contribution to a mini Round Robin with the theme Spring. From the first of June 5 other people will stitch their contribution and after that the Round Robin will return to me. I already have a mini Round Robin with the theme Autum on its way. My intention is to change the Round Robins on the wall at the same time with the succession of the season. Summer and Winter are not ready yet, but as soon as there is a chance , they will also go on their "journey".

Vandaag zijn de mereleitjes (op èèn na) uitgekomen. De merels hebben hun nestje gebouwd in ons opslaghuisje voor het tuingereedschap. Je snapt wel dat er nog niets van tuinieren terecht is gekomen en het onkruid tiert dan ook welig!!! Wordt vervolgd....

Today the blackbirdeggs (except one) hatched out. The blackbirds built their nest in our little storagehouse for the gardentools. You may understand that our work in the garden is sadly neglected , so the weeds flourish!! To be continued....
